JOB PURPOSE

Diffusion is an innovative real-time data platform. Following a recent £10M investment round, the Diffusion Development Team is growing and there is a wealth of new feature development on the road map.

This role is to contribute to the development, maintenance and support of the Internal IT Infrastructure, end user devices and associated services.

It requires comprehensive exposure to a wide range of IT application systems ranging from Windows, Linux and Mac Support to the Office 365 suite, encryption, and mobile device management.

The candidate will report to the IT Infrastructure Manager however, you should be capable of working with minimal instruction and comfortable with a high degree of user interaction; it is common to speak to half the company in a single day on separate projects or support issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operation of the help desk function, ensuring all users are provided with professional, prompt, and friendly service
• Support the new starter process, including the setup, installation and procurement of laptops, MacBook’s, telephony and mobile phone devices
• Own the Office365 suite, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams & OneDrive
• Maintain the IT Asset registers and software licenses
• Maintain the Windows Server environment (AD, DNS, GPO, WSUS)
• Maintain the backup and antivirus software solutions
• Support of a mobile device management solution (MDM) covering encryption and security requirements
• Basic Linux Server OS support and maintenance
• Support VPN, networking, and firewall configurations
• Maintaining in depth knowledge of the various software applications used by the business
• Collaborate with other Infrastructure Engineers to align strategies
• Document and improve processes and workflows and add to the knowledge of the team

REQUIREMENTS

Essential Requirements

Experience in a similar IT support role with a strong focus on process improvement and ownership, you are expected to hit the ground running and have little to no training required to complete your day-to-day activities.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, ambitious and have an elevated level of professionalism.

The key to success in this role is to implement and own solutions that will improve the overall security, maintenance, and support in the end user environment.

Required Skills

• Experience in an IT Helpdesk support role.
• Experience with the Office 365 suite to an administrative level
• Experience working within an ISO27001 & SOC compliant business 
• Windows Server Support and Domain management.
• Experience in Virtual Server Management, Networking, DNS, VPN, Firewall.
• A keen interest in documentation, policy, process, and workflow improvements.
• Proven ability to independently research, plan, and deliver new projects.
• Elevated level of accuracy in work and strong attention to detail
• Strong communications skills both written and verbal
